And thatâs why I canât believe it when I hear an article in the summer of 2014 that claimed that a new high-tech drug is about to hit the market that can remove the need to remember all those passwords. However, mnemonics can be a long, long way from accurate. However, mnemonics can be a long, long way from accurate.
But until I read John Stineâs classic book, âMnemonics for Dummies,â I didnât understand why. It just didnât make any sense. But as Stine pointed out, you really donât need to memorize a long list of email passwords and other logins. You just need to use some easy-to-remember mnemonic. And, as Stine points out, they donât need to be very long. In fact, they shouldnât be too long. In the chapter called âThe Curse of Mnemonics,â he gives some of the best mnemonics. They can help you remember usernames and passwords. He even comes up with a bit of a mnemonic for the phrase âif you werenât here, what would we do without you?â
Memorizing passwords is a dangerous game. But with a bit of mnemonics, you can keep your life a bit safer. It may sound like a lot of work, but with a little practice, you can get a handle on it.Q:
